Data-Kiana (she has dark-brown hair and dark-brown eyes): Data-Sora's sister, Data-Riku's girlfriend (my opinion, okay?), Data-Kairi's best friend, Data's-Xikana's somebody, and Keyblade Wielder
Data-Xikana (she has light brown hair and dark-brown eyes): Data-Roxas's sister and Keybade Wielder
Kiana's, Xikana's, Aura's, and Vanity's outfitsEdit
In Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, she wears a black apron-like shirt with red flowers and a red line across the chest, a red skirt with a black line on it and large, black shoes with red lines on them.
In Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, she wears a red top with a black one underneath (the black one shows at her collarbone and at the hem) which slightly exposes her navel, black biker shorts underneath a red skirt with a black belt, and red slip-on shoes with black caps. She also features a red choker, a black wristband as well as a red arm band on her left arm and a pair of bracelets on her right arm.
In Kingdom Hearts II, she wears a black strapless mini-dress made up of three zippers (two appear to be just decorative) as well as a white halter top underneath her mini-dress with a white hood. She also sports three bracelets on her left wrist, a white belt reminiscent of suspenders with a note book shaped bag attachment, and black sneakers.
In Kingdom Hearts Re: coded, Data-Kiana's outfit physically resembles Kingdom Hearts Kiana's outfit, and the real Kiana wears the same clothes from Kingdom Hearts II.
In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, when in the dream world, Kiana's outfit changes. Her outfit from Kingdom Hearts II changes to her Kingdom Hearts outfit, but the outfit she wore had different colors. She now had a black top with a white "X" on the front and a red one underneath, red biker shorts underneath a black skirt with a red belt, and black slip-on shoes with red caps. She featured a black choker, a red wristband as well as a black arm band on her left arm and a pair of bracelets on her right arm.
In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, she wore a black coat and black heeled boots. Then in the final scene of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, she wore a purple lace dress and shoes.
In Kingdom Hearts II, she wore a purple lace dress and shoes. When she goes to bed, she wears a short two colored (grey/white) lace nightgown that's the same length as her purple lace dress.
In Kingdom Hearts Re: coded, Data-Xikana's outfit resembled the real Xikana's black coat and heeled boots.
In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, she wore her black coat and black heeled boots.
In Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, she wore a dress that resembled a mixture with Xikana's dress (purple on the right) and Kiana's dress (black on the left) with two blue criss-cross straps with a gold Keyblade Master emblem and a black and navy blue armor plate on her left shoulder.
In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, when Kairi and Riku turn into Aqua and Terra and Sora and Kiana turn into Ventus and Aura, she wore the same outfit from Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep.
In Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep, she wore a red strapless mini-dress with a black halter top underneath her dress with a red hood and red sneakers.
In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, when Vanitas and Vanity appeared next to Young Xehanort, she wore the same outfit from Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep.
Kiana's Drive FormsEdit
Valor Form- A Red dress with a white top underneath and red sneakers.
Wisdom Form- A Blue dress with a white top underneath and blue sneakers.
Limit Form- A Black, Red, and Yellow dress with a white top underneath and sliver sneakers.
Master Form- A Yellow dress with a white top underneath and yellow sneakers.
Final Form- A White dress with a white top underneath and white sneakers.
Anti Form- A Black dress with black skin (and a black top) underneath and black sneakers.
Kiana's Other FormsEdit
Mermaid Form- In her Mermaid Form, Kiana's lower body is replaced with that of a black dolphin, including the dorsal fin. She does not wear any clothing in this form (except she wears black seashells), including her necklace.
Vampiress Form- In her Vampiress Form, her clothing becomes almost completely black, appearing to be made of faded leather. She wears white gloves and has clawed fingers, the top underneath the dress is grey, and she has very small, black, bat wings on her upper back. Her shoes stay the same. Kiana's canines become more pointed and her face, particularly the area around her eyes, becomes more ashen and shadowed in appearance. Her hair stays the same color and she wears an orange mask on the right side of her face, covering her right eye. The mask is circular with small horns on the top, a jagged, jack o' lantern-esque mouth, and triangular eyes. The mask's right eye is green and the left one appears to be closed or scratched out. Kiana's Keyblade becomes darker and more ashen in coloration like her clothing while she is in this form. When entering a Drive Form, Kiana's mask changes shape. When she enters Valor Form, the mask takes the form of a demonic, red, Bomb-like creature with a large, fleur-de-lis symbol near its top. Wisdom Form changes the mask to a shape resembling a Black Mage. When Kiana enters Limit Form, the mask changes to an elegant, curled heart with white edges and a black and red checkerboard pattern on its center. Master Form's mask is a splicing of the Wisdom and Valor Form—Valor Form's mask on the right half and Wisdom Form's on the left—with the two masks unevenly stitched together. The mask for Final Form is a bronze crown. Anti Form's mask resembles a Shadow Heartless.
Data Form- In her Data Form, Kiana's clothing is replaced with a robotic, grey and dark blue armored dress covered in glowing, cyan computer circuitry. She wears a sleek helmet that covers her forehead and wraps over the top of her head to the back of her neck, leaving the sides of her head exposed. Two cyan prongs jut out diagonally from the back of the helmet. Her skin also becomes light blue, and her hair turns grey. Kiana's appearance is very symmetrical in this form and the hair not covered by her helmet spikes upward on either side of her head. Kiana does not wear her necklace in this form. The circuitry on Kiana's armored dress changes color to match any Drive Form she is in. In Valor Form, the circuits are red; in Wisdom Form, they become a darker shade of blue; and Master Form's circuitry is yellow. Limit Form's armor and circuits are colored to vaguely match with the colors of Kiana's outfit from the original game; her torso, helmet, and arms are silver, her dress is red, her shoes are yellow, and there is a blue band around her waist and collar. In Final Form, the armor's color becomes more predominantly grey and the circuits become silver. Anti Form's armor is black and the circuitry is grey. In Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, a modified version of the Data Form for only Sora and Riku (Kiana wore her Kingdom Hearts outfit, only black with white circuitry) appears in The Grid.
Retro Form- In her Retro Form, Kiana's clothing resembles a stylized version of her earliest incarnation: her original Kingdom Hearts appearance. Her clothing is much simpler in this form than it was in her first appearance, sporting no belt, no armband, or wristbands. As with almost all characters in the Timeless River, Kiana's Retro Form is colored completely in shades of white, gray, and black. Her face, arms, and figure have a much more cartoonish look, and more closely match the rubber hose-style of cartoons. When using most Drive Forms, Kiana's physical appearance does not change. Instead, the icon of her head near the HP Bar tints color slightly to reflect the Form her takes. The tint is red for Valor Form, blue for Wisdom Form, purple for Limit Form, yellow for Master Form, and white for Final Form. When Kiana enters Anti Form, she becomes a black silhouette with grey eyes, a change that is also reflected in the icon.
Lioness Form- In her Lioness Form, Kiana takes the form of a lion cub. Her fur is predominantly an ashy shade of brown, though her toes, belly, and the fur around her mouth are very light grey. There is a tuft of dark brown fur on the tip of her tail, and she has three whiskers on either side of her nose. Her eyes are light brown and her sclera are yellow. Her necklace still hangs from her neck in this form, and she holds her Keyblade in her mouth, though when she and Sora lock the world's Keyhole she holds the Keyblade with her tail.
Card Form- In her Card Form, Kiana turns into a large card, roughly the same height as Luxord. An image of Kiana in her normal Kingdom Hearts II outfit is displayed on one side of the card. In the image, Kiana has her hands raised as if she is attempting to escape from the card, and her face is set in an expression of shock and surprise. The rest of this side of the card is white. The opposite side of the card is the same as the cards from Luxord's Fair Game deck; it is grey with white edges and several Nobody logos decorating it.
Die Form- In her Die Form, Kiana takes the form of a large, six-sided die. An image of Kiana's head represents the number one on the die. Kiana's face is frozen in an expression of shock and surprise. Everything from Kiana's neck down is not visible in this form, including her necklace. The other sides of the die are numbered with several elegant, curled, cyan hearts.
Mrs.Santa Form- In her Mrs.Santa Form, Kiana retains the dark, ashen physical appearance, shoes, dress, and legs wrappings from her Vampiress Form. The rest of her clothing, however, changes radically. Her mask is replaced by a large, black hat with a white fur rim and a puff ball on the tip, similar to Santa Claus's that is pulled over the right half of her face. She wears a black dress with white fur lining, silver crown buttons lining the front, and a faded, brown belt with a silver buckle around her waist and over the dress. Her arms are shown to be unusually thin and have a slight brown tint to them. Her gloves turn black and have white fur lining around the cuffs. Kiana's Keyblade is slightly brighter in this form than it is in her Vampiress Form. The color of Kiana's hat and the back of her dress gain a slight tint to match the Drive Form she is currently in. Her hat and the back of her dress also gain a symbol to match the appropriate form. When Kiana is in Valor Form, her hat gains a red fleur-de-lis and the dress is adorned with a thorn pattern. Wisdom Form's hat and dress both sport a blue flame. Limit Form's hat and dress both sport a white crown. There is a single gold cross on Master Form's hat, and several more on the dress. Final Form's hat is emblazoned with a silver, N-shaped rune, and the dress bears a pair of wings. Anti Form's hat and dress are both adorned by a stylized Heartless emblem.
Kingdom Hearts Birth By SleepEdit
Kingdom Hearts begins with Sora's and Kiana's Dive to the Heart, which foreshadows the events that will soon take place, but soon progresses to Destiny Islands, where Sora and Kiana (who still had a Hello Kitty doll with (different) matching clothes and a matching bow) live with their two best friends, Riku and Kairi. The four friends seek to leave the islands to explore new worlds and have prepared a raft for this purpose. One night, the islands are attacked by darkness and shadow creatures. Sora and Kiana seek out their friends, finding Riku first; Riku disappears into darkness, curious about what it contains. Soon after, Sora and Kiana obtain a mysterious weapon, the Keyblade, to defend themselves. Using it to fend off the creatures, they head for a secret cave, where they find Kairi near a door. She turns to them, saying their names as the door behind her blows open. The ensuing blast of darkness sends Sora, Kairi, and Kiana both out of the cave. The islands are soon destroyed, and Sora and Kiana are left adrift, Riku and Kairi's whereabouts unknown. Meanwhile, King Mickey has left his world to deal with the increasing power of darkness and left instructions for mage Donald Duck and knight Goofy to find the "key". Donald and Goofy use a Gummi Ship to travel to Traverse Town, where it happens Sora and Kiana have also drifted to. Sora and Kiana encounter the creatures again in the town, and eventually meet Leon, a mysterious swordsman who explains they are Heartless, creatures that consume hearts, and that the Keyblade is the only weapon capable of defeating them. The king of Leon's home world, a man named Ansem, is said to have studied the Heartless. Donald and Goofy are approached by Leon's ally Aerith, who also tells them what they may be looking for. Soon after, Sora and Kiana meet Donald and Goofy rather hastily, and the four work together to take down a large Heartless. From there, they decide to travel together: Donald and Goofy to find Mickey, and Sora and Kiana to find Kairi and Riku. The four travel to various worlds based on Disney films, finding that the Keyblade also locks "Keyholes", passages that the Heartless use to take the hearts of the worlds. A group of villains, led by Maleficent, seek out the eight Princesses of Heart to unlock the Keyhole that leads to Kingdom Hearts, a repository of knowledge and power and the source of all hearts. This group now includes Riku, who is swayed by Maleficent's promises that she will help find Kairi. At the same time, Maleficent breeds distrust in Riku, telling him that Sora and Kiana have abandoned him and Kairi for new friends and the Keyblade. An increasingly antagonistic Riku manages to find Kairi's body, but her heart is missing. Sora, Kiana, and their friends eventually arrive at Hollow Bastion, the home world of Ansem and the headquarters of Maleficent. Riku takes the Keyblade from Sora and Kiana, claiming that he was fated to have it all along and Sora and Kiana were simply the "delivery boy and girl". Donald and Goofy, taking their order to follow the "key" seriously, reluctantly leave with Riku. Sora and Kiana call on their courage and enter the Bastion anyway, then challenges Riku again, stating that their hearts derive strength from their friends. Their friends return to them, as does the Keyblade. Shamed, Riku flees and meets a cloaked man who goads him to give into the darkness. Sora, Kiana, Donald, and Goofy, meanwhile, engage and destroy Maleficent. They soon after meet a strangely-behaving Riku with a new Keyblade that unlocks hearts. He leads them to Kairi's living but unfeeling body; Riku then reveals himself as completely possessed by Ansem. The newly reformed Ansem explains that Kairi is a Princess of Heart, and that her missing heart has been trapped within Sora's body since the destruction of Destiny Islands. He also said that Kiana was the last Princess of Heart. Spurred to action, Sora defeats Ansem; however, he cannot seal Hollow Bastion's keyhole because Kairi's heart is still in his body, thus the keyhole remains incomplete. Sora uses Ansem's Keyblade to unlock his heart, releasing both his and Kairi's heart, but turning him into a Heartless. Kairi's heart returns to her body, in turn completing the final Keyhole; Kairi and Kiana then return Sora to human form by the strength of their hearts. The group resolves to follow and end Ansem's plan. Ansem retreats to the End of the World, the combined fragments of worlds taken by the Heartless. Upon being found and finally beaten, he explains his belief that darkness is the heart's true essence, and he seeks Kingdom Hearts, the source of all hearts, and therefore the ultimate source of darkness. However, upon opening the door to Kingdom Hearts, it reveals Light, killing Ansem. Beyond the door are Mickey and Riku, back in control of his own body. They help Sora, Kiana, and the others close the door, as there are many Heartless beyond it, but Riku and Mickey must remain inside to help seal it. Mickey, Sora, and Kiana then use their Keyblades to lock the door. The destroyed worlds reconstruct themselves; Kairi is pulled back to the Destiny Islands, but Sora and Kiana promise before separating they will all reunite some day. Sora, Kiana, Donald, and Goofy resolve to find Riku and Mickey, though they are unsure of where to start. Luckily, Pluto appears, clutching a letter from Mickey in his mouth; he runs off with Sora, Kiana, Donald, and Goofy in tow, ready for a new set of adventures. The silent narrator from the beginning of the game states in the final scene that Sora's and Kiana's destiny is to open the door to light. One year later, in a secret ending, a mysterious boy and girl wielding two Keyblades find Riku in a new world demanding to know where Sora and Kiana are.
Kingdom Hearts: Chain of MemoriesEdit
Sora, Kiana, Donald and Goofy walk down a long path that seemingly goes nowhere. They see Pluto and start to follow him. He leads them to a crossroad. While deciding which path to take, a mysterious man in a black cloak approaches Sora and Kiana and speaks to them, but at that moment his words are incomprehensible. The path becomes one and it leads them to Castle Oblivion. The cloaked man appears as they enter the castle and gives them a card. They use the card to proceed through the castle. The first world they go to is Traverse Town, where they discover that Leon, Aerith, Yuffie, and Cid have forgotten all about them, yet they strangely remember Sora's, Kiana's, Donald's, and Goofy's names, where Yuffie comments, "You're not in my memory, but my heart remembers you." After Leon gives Sora snd Kiana a tutorial on fighting and gives Sora and Kiana a Simba summon card, they leave Traverse Town. The man appears once more after they arrive on the next floor. Another cloaked man appears and introduces himself as Axel. Sora and Kiana battle him, and when Axel is defeated, he gives them more cards, disappearing soon after. Sora, Kiana, Donald, and Goofy go through each floor, experiencing their memories, all of which are somehow distorted, each in a different way. They start to lose their memories (only Sora, Donald, and Goofy lost their memories, while Kiana had one, now two, permanent chain of memories). A Nobody named Namine begins to replace memories of Kairi with fake ones of herself. It turns out she is good and is manipulating his memories under the orders of the head of the castle, Marluxia. This escalates to a final battle in the end, for Sora's and Kiana's life, and Namine's freedom. Meanwhile, Riku awakens down in the castle, and as he goes up the basement levels of Castle Oblivion, he must take control of the inner darkness inside of him, dealing with Ansem, the Riku Replica, and three members of Organization XIII; Vexen, Lexaeus, and Zexion, along the way.
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 DaysEdit
On the day they are born as Sora's and Kiana's Nobodies when Sora transforms into a Heartless in the original Kingdom Hearts, they were found by Xemnas in Twilight Town, the leader of Organization XIII, who names them its thirteenth members. Each day they are sent on missions to other worlds, either alone or accompanied by their fellow members, to destroy Heartless with the Keyblade and release captive hearts, with which the Organization can fulfill their goal of summoning Kingdom Hearts and become complete beings. Roxas and Xikana are placed under the care of Axel, who he befriends and spends his spare time with at the end of each day, sitting atop the clock tower in Twilight Town, speaking what's on their minds and eating sea-salt ice cream together. Shortly after Roxas's and Xikana's inductions, the Organization gathers in the Round Room to witness the arrival of a mysterious fourteenth member, Xion. Her appearance changes from person to person, depending on their relationship with her. Later, when Axel and several other members are assigned to Castle Oblivion (setting the stage for Chain of Memories), Roxas and Xikana are paired with Xion. The three begin to bond, and the reclusive Xion begins opening up to Roxas and Xikana, revealing her resemblance to Sora's friend and sister Kairi and Kiana, as a two-face (Kiana's face on the right, and Kairi's face on the left), and her ability to wield the Keyblade. A few days later, Roxas and Xikana fall into comas for several weeks, around the same time Sora and Kiana are put to sleep to regain the memories they lost in Castle Oblivion at the end of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. When Roxas and Xikana finally awaken (and find that all the members dispatched to Castle Oblivion, except Axel, have been eliminated), they suggest that them, Axel and Xion all spend time together, and the four become close friends. However, Roxas and Xikana begin experiencing Sora's and Kiana's memories and grow frustrated when their questions about them go unanswered, becoming increasingly curious about why they wield the Keyblade and doubtful of the Organization's motives. Meanwhile, Sora and Kiana, who were still sleeping, are moved from Castle Oblivion to Twilight Town by DiZ and Namine, Xion also has a confrontation with Riku, who brings her identity and the authenticity of her Keyblade into question and suggests she leave the Organization to merge with her original self. Xion, however, is torn between doing so and staying with Roxas, Xikana, and Axel. Eventually Xion discovers that she is an imperfect replica of Roxas and Xikana created by Vexen from Sora's and Kiana's leaking memories should Sora and Kiana, who Xemnas intends to use as part of the Organization's plans, turn out to be of no use. Her resemblance to Kairi and Kiana is a result of Sora's strong memories of her and his sister; however, as Namine attempts to restore Sora's memories, they affect Xion instead to the point where she begins to physically resemble Sora and Kiana. Upon learning this, Xion becomes deeply confused and lost and leaves Organization XIII, desiring to become a true person, but also having a falling out with Roxas, Xikana and Axel. During a 'seek-and-capture' mission, Xigbar and Axel find Xion in Wonderland. As Xigbar prepares to fight her, he utters to himself, "You always had that smug face." Unknown to Axel, Xigbar sees the appearance of Ventus and Aura, as a two-face (Aura's body on the right, and Ventus's body on the left). Suddenly, while Xigbar is distracted, Xion disappears and takes down Xigbar easily. Axel questions what has just happened before his eyes. Later, Roxas and Xikana defects from Organization XIII to find themselves, much to Axel's chagrin. Upon being reprogrammed by Xemnas, Xion attempts to absorb Roxas and Xikana and become whole, though this would mean the real Sora and Kiana will never awaken. However, Roxas and Xikana battle and defeat Xion, who reveals Xemnas's motives and intentions to them before merging with them, which, in turn, halts the restoration of Sora's and Kiana's memories completely. Xion then dies peacefully in Roxas's arms, completely crystallizes and turns into a blinding light, as the memories she has absorbed go back to Sora and Kiana. She leaves nothing but a single seashell behind, as tears run down Roxas's and Xikana's faces. Roxas and Xikana inherit Xion's Keyblade, allowing them to use two Keyblades at once (Oblivion and Oathkeeper). Soon afterward, they encounter and battle Riku, who had been dispatched by DiZ to capture them so that they may merge with Sora and Kiana and complete the restoration of Sora's and Kiana's memories. When Riku is nearly defeated, he taps into the growing darkness in his heart, granting him the power necessary to subdue Roxas and Xikana, but also giving him the appearance of Ansem, Seeker of Darkness, who resides in his heart. Riku subsequently brings the unconscious Roxas and Xikana to DiZ, who digitizes and places them into a virtual Twilight Town. The final scene, "Day 359: The First Day", shows Roxas and Xikana in the virtual town thinking how everything seemed like a dream and wondering about their destiny while running and arriving at the Usual Spot, wondering if them, Hayner, Pence, and Olette will finally go to the beach, indicating the start of Kingdom Hearts II.
Kingdom Hearts IIEdit
Sora, Kiana, and their companions have been asleep for about a year, regaining their memories. When Sora and Kiana awaken, they eventually arrive in Twilight Town, the place where a mysterious boy and girl, Roxas and Xikana, lived before they suddenly left. Gaining new clothes and powers, Sora and Kiana begin their journey anew, unaware of the events that have taken place in Chain of Memories. Sora and Kiana continue their quest by unlocking paths to new worlds, learning of Nobodies and fighting the Heartless, as well as facing the remaining members of the mysterious Organization XIII. As the game progresses, Sora and Kiana learn about Roxas and Xikana and how much they have in common. The story begins with Roxas and Xikana in Twilight Town. Roxas and Xikana have dreams of Sora's and Kiana's adventures while increasingly mysterious activities begin taking place in Twilight Town during Roxas's and Xikana's summer vacation. After obtaining the Keyblade to defend themselves from the Nobodies, Roxas and Xikana come in contact with a young man in black named Axel. Axel appears to know Roxas and Xikana, though Roxas and Xikana has no recollection of him. Roxas and Xikana eventually makes their way into an abandoned mansion where a girl named Namine informs them that they are Nobodies, although they did not quite know what a Nobody was at that time. Finally, confronted by a mysterious, red-cloaked man called DiZ, Roxas and Xikana discover Sora, Kiana, Donald, and Goofy sleeping in the hidden basement of the mansion. Roxas and Xikana seem to merge with Sora and Kiana. As Sora, Kiana, Donald, and Goofy awake from their year-long slumber, Jiminy Cricket, who had previously chronicled the party's adventures, finds that his journal is now completely blank, save for the note: "Thank Namine" (which was written by Jiminy himself during Chain of Memories). After meeting Pete, a new villain, and speaking with Yen Sid, the party is informed that they must once again visit many worlds to protect them from both the Heartless and the Nobodies in an attempt to stop Organization XIII. These include both old but greatly changed places, like Hollow Bastion, and brand new worlds the party has never encountered before. In the course of their travels, the Heartless, headed by a revived Maleficent and the Organization, regain power, eventually forcing Sora and Kiana to battle a massive army of Heartless that are attacking Hollow Bastion. Along the way, they learn that the Ansem they fought a year ago was actually the Heartless of Xehanort, and that the Nobody of Xehanort, Xemnas, is the leader of Organization XIII. They also learn that Xehanort was an apprentice of the real Ansem, who is missing. After the battle, Xemnas appears and reveals their ultimate goal: the Nobodies plan to create another Kingdom Hearts, a doorway to the heart of all worlds that will presumably allow the Nobodies to get their hearts back. After confronting and defeating more members of the Organization, Sora and Kiana go to the World That Never Was to settle the score with the Organization for good; they also reunite with their friends Riku and Kairi. Sora and Kiana learn the truth about Roxas and Xikana as well; them and Namine are, respectively, Sora's, Kiana's and Kairi's Nobodies, created when they lost their (only Sora and Kairi) hearts in the original Kingdom Hearts game. In the end, only Xemnas is left of the original thirteen members. Sora, Kiana, and Riku unite to defeat him, and his new Kingdom Hearts is closed. Sora and the others are returned to their homeworld of Destiny Islands. Although Sora and Kiana have to say goodbye to Donald and Goofy, they know in their hearts that true friends are never gone. However, sometime later, Sora, Kiana, Riku, and Kairi receive a letter from King Mickey after the credits. They proceed to read the letter, but the contents are left unrevealed.
Kingdom Hearts Re: codedEdit
This storyline follows the story of Jiminy Cricket, King Mickey, Donald Duck and Goofy in Disney Castle. While organizing the records in Jiminy's journal from his travels with Sora and his friends, Jiminy Cricket's curiosity about the line "Thank Namine" results in him finding a message that he did not write: "Their hurting will be mended when you return to end it." To investigate this message, King Mickey digitizes the contents of the journal and goes into the simulated world to investigate; awakening a virtual Data-Sora and Data-Kiana on the virtual Destiny Islands to carry out the contents of the journal to uncover the identity of those who are "hurting". As Data-Sora and Data-Kiana awaken on Destiny Islands, they encounter numerous "bugs", which take the form of red and black blocks, covering the whole world. Upon eliminating the Heartless and destroying the bugs, Data-Sora and Data-Kiana traverse to other worlds infected with bugs to return them to normal, following the cloaked figure upon orders from King Mickey. Meanwhile, Heartless begin appearing within Disney Castle, and everyone finds themselves trapped in the room. To their surprise, they are saved by Data-Sora and Data-Kiana. Suddenly, the cloaked figure reveals himself to be Jiminy's Journal taking the form of Riku, and explains that they are no longer in the real world, but the Datascape. Data-Sora and Data-Kiana are sent off by the Journal to discover their true identities, only to encounter Maleficent and Pete from the real world. Maleficent destroys Data-Sora's and Data-Kiana's Keyblades and summons Heartless to attack them. Mickey and the Journal arrive to save Data-Sora and Data-Kiana, but the Journal is abducted by Maleficent, with Mickey giving chase. Data-Sora and Data-Kiana make their way through Hollow Bastion, aided by Donald and Goofy. They encounter Pete, who summons the Journal and takes control of him with the bugs to fight them, but Data-Sora and Data-Kiana still manage to defeat the Journal, who falls unconscious. Mickey arrives and informs Data-Sora and Data-Kiana that unless the bugs are destroyed, the Journal will never awaken. Data-Sora and Data-Kiana decide to find a way to awaken the Journal, and enters Data-Riku's Datascape, losing their abilities in the process. The two visit various worlds from the Data-Riku's memory and find their way back to Hollow Bastion, where they fight and defeat Maleficent. Meanwhile, King Mickey discovers that he will be returning soon to the real world, but the Journal, once completed, will have to be erased, which will mean the end of Data-Sora's and Data-Kiana's memories. When the time comes, Data-Sora and Data-Kiana request more time in order to save Pete and Maleficent, who are still in the Datascape. Data-Sora and Data-Kiana finds them fighting Sora's Heartless, but Pete and Maleficent are seemingly erased before they can intervene. Data-Sora and Data-Kiana defeat Sora's Heartless, and finds that Pete and Maleficent were rescued by the Journal through a "rift in the data". They leave the Datascape shortly before Mickey returns to the real world, erasing the Journal. A new message appears claiming that a new door to a new world has been opened, which is the data of the Data World added into the Journal. Mickey, realizing that this quest may be too dangerous for Data-Sora and Data-Kiana as they have no memory of it, requests to be taken into the Datascape once again. Finding Data-Sora and Data-Kiana in Traverse Town, Mickey takes them to Castle Oblivion where Data-Sora and Data-Kiana are confronted by a young man and woman wearing black coats. They tell Data-Sora and Data-Kiana that if they want to know the truth, they must move forward on their own through the previous worlds they visited destroying bugs. During this time, they realize that even if they don't remember someone they met, there's still the sadness of having forgotten them which the figures attempt to warn not to let it consume them. Data-Sora and Data-Kiana disregard this message and fight the figures, revealed to be Data-Roxas and Data-Xikana. After losing, Data-Roxas and Data-Xikana give them a card as Mickey appears. Data-Sora and Data-Kiana open the next door to find Data-Namine, who reveals the bugs to have been an unintentional side effect of her attempt to restore Sora's and Kiana's memories. She then reveals Sora's and Kiana's nature as the "Keys that connect everything" through their ties with herself, Roxas, Xikana, Axel, and Xion. Furthermore, Data-Namine tells Data-Sora and Data-Kiana about four figures (Terra, Ventus, Aqua, and Aura) also tied to Sora's and Kiana's hearts who are the ones referred to in the message and need their help. Mickey bids farewell to Data-Sora and Data-Kiana and promises Data-Namine that he will inform the real Sora and Kiana of this. Mickey promptly sends Sora and Kiana a bottled letter (the same one sent by Mickey at the end of Kingdom Hearts II), which Sora and Kiana read with Riku and Kairi. Sometime later, Mickey is shown in the Mysterious Tower, informing Yen Sid that they are close to locating Ventus's and Aura's hearts and have only now to find Terra. However, Yen Sid delivers the shocking news that Xehanort has been revived due to the destruction of both Ansem and Xemnas at the hands of Sora and Kiana, which will ultimately lead to Master Xehanort's revival. Realizing that not just a "single" Xehanort has returned, Yen Sid orders Mickey to summon Sora, Riku, and Kiana before him to undertake a Mark of Mastery exam in order to become full-fledged Keyblade Masters and properly combat Xehanort.
Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop DistanceEdit
This storyline, following the destruction of Ansem and Xemnas at the hands of Sora, Riku, and Kiana, Xehanort is revived. In response, Yen Sid puts Sora, Riku, and Kiana through a Mark of Mastery exam in order for them to become full-fledged Keyblade Masters and counter the coming return of Master Xehanort. As part of this trial, the three are separated from each other (only Sora and Kiana weren't separated from each other, because they were brother and sister) and sent to worlds previously destroyed by the Heartless that have since been restored, though now in a state of "deep sleep" that disconnects them from the other worlds. These seven worlds are plagued by Dream Eaters — creatures born from darkness that seek out the sleeping worlds' Keyholes. Sora's, Riku's, and Kiana's given task is to reawaken the sleeping worlds by unlocking the seven Keyholes they find there and then return to the realm of light, recruiting benevolent "Spirit" Dream Eaters to guide them and battle the malevolent "Nightmare" Dream Eaters, after which they will be deemed Keyblade Masters. During the exam, Sora, Riku, and Kiana cross paths with the resurrected "Ansem" and Xemnas, as well as a younger incarnation of Master Xehanort from an alternate past. The three bring Sora and Kiana to the World That Never Was, where they learn of Organization XIII's true purpose—to serve as vessels for Master Xehanort to place pieces of his heart inside, thereby transforming them into clones of Xehanort. Sora and Kiana were forced into a comatose state by the young Xehanort and only Sora's heart was swallowed by darkness (while Kiana was knocked unconscious for a long time), though Sora's heart is protected by Ventus's suit of armor and Kiana's heart is protected by Aura's armor residing within them. Riku goes to rescue Sora and Kiana, only to be confronted by the young Xehanort, who unveils a new Organization XIII comprised of the newly revived Master Xehanort and his eleven vessels, whom Xehanort plans to pit against nine Keyblade Wielders and recreate the χ-blade. Master Xehanort tries to turn Sora and Kiana into his last needed vessels, but Sora and Kiana were rescued by Riku, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Lea—the revived human form of the original Organization's Axel—after which Xehanort and his other vessels retreat. Sora's and Kiana's bodies were brought back to Yen Sid's tower, where Riku enters their bodies and releases Sora's and Kiana's hearts from Ventus's and Aura's armor, now possessed by Nightmares. After Sora and Kiana reawaken, only Riku and Kiana (cause she didn't succumb to the darkness and was only knocked unconscious) are declared Keyblade Masters by Yen Sid, and Lea reveals himself to have become a Keyblade Wielder. Undaunted by his failure, Sora embarks on a new journey by himself to train with Kiana. While Sora and Kiana travel to Traverse Town in order to meet all their Dream Eater friends, Ventus and Aura are shown still being at Castle Oblivion, but suddenly start smiling a bit. The secret ending shows Yen Sid planning to gather nine Keyblade Wielders to combat the new Organization and prevent Xehanort from bringing about another Keyblade War. To this end, Yen Sid has Riku bring Kairi to him so she can be trained to wield the Keyblade she received from Riku in Kingdom Hearts II.
