Anime Blog #3:
One of the most heated debates in the anime community is the Subs vs Dubs argument. Before I go any further, let me define "Subs" and Dubs:
- Subs or subtitles are the words at the bottom of the screen that viewers read at the bottom of the screen instead of hearing the actual voices in english (or whatever language you may speak)
or dubtitles are the english (or any other language) voice overs given to the character in anime or any other type of forgien media.
Everyone has their preferences and reasons for choosing those preferences. People may prefer dubs because the words sometimes go to fast and/or its too distracting from the show. Others prefer subs because the lips might not match the english words and/or they have bad voice actors. I am disabling comments on this blog, because I really don't want a whole war at the bottom of the page and this isn't going to be much of a blog (you'll see what I mean later). In my opinion, I have no preference. I have watched anime with both good dubs and good subs. Down below is a list of anime that I'm putting into the category of either "dubs" or "subs" depending on which one I watched the anime in. Happy Reading!!
