 |This manga really gets to you...how???...to those "people" who had no friends for some time etc. This manga really does get to you in both funny humor, to outright breaking your heart from the main character Tomoko. Tomoko seems like your regular otaku, however...she has no friends, she looks "odd" and yeah she's otaku...something you don't see much in a character, she's like you in "real life" counterpart and you can sympathize with her..in both good and bad times. The artwork is decent enough, showing Tomoko as the odd type down to the appearance, the other characters are shown in the either ordinary type or "beautiful type" like Yuu. Now on speaking of story...it has dark humor which again...you can really sympathize with Tomoko as her expense...it is a slice of life manga with that "I want friends" aspect and "real life otaku" situations...with no SUGAR. This is both a funny manga from Tomoko's antics that leads to her own expense to heartbreaking as well...there are times where Tomoko has her heart broken and for that plus, you will sympathize with her because you have been through the same situations she has been through, it got to LA...and that in itself...makes this manga amazing...in the dark sense.
