Some Wishes and Thanks (November 24th)Edit
Today in North America it's Thanksgiving's Day and we're wishing all of you have a safe holiday weekend!
Now for some long awaited Kingdom Hearts news. This month issues of Famitsu revealed some new information about Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance! First a world based on the movie Pinocchio called Prankster's Paradise was revealed, showing Pinocchio in his donkey/human form as seen in the 1940's movie. Some images of La Cité des Cloches, a world based off The Hunchback of Notre Dame, showed the appearances of Esmeralda, Claude Frollo, Phoebus, and everyone's favorite three gargoyles; Laverne, Victor, and Hugo.
Several new Dream Eaters were also shown! Among them were the Goat Horn, Needle Lion, Zou Elephant, Ice Penguin, and a few others. This clearly patches the dry news we've been having and keeps us excited until the game is released in 2012.
A Day for the King (October 8th)Edit
Do you know what today is? If you guessed October 8th, then you're right, but today isn't just any October 8th, it is none other then the Kingdom Hearts series's own creator's birthday! That's right, today Tetsuya Nomura turns 41!
Nomura was born in Kōchi, Japan in October 8, 1970. He first started working at Square Enix (then called Square) as a debugger for Final Fantasy IV, back in 1990. He then went on to become a battle graphics designer for Final Fantasy V, the graphic director for Final Fantasy VI, and character designer for Final Fantasy VII, Parasite Eve, Final Fantasy VIII (in which he was also the battle visuals director), Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2, Final Fantasy XI and Final Fantasy XIII. He, along with Gen Kobayashi, was also responsible for the complete designing of The World Ends with You. And of course he acted as the director, concept artist, and character designer for the Kingdom Hearts series!
So today, we here at the The Keyhole wish a Happy Birthday to the brilliant producer, mastermind, and artist of the Kingdom Hearts series and all his other work, Tetsuya Nomura! We hope you have a good one today and we thank you for all the work you've done so far and for all that is to come, Nomura-sensei!
An Endless Dream (September 18th)Edit
Well, it has been really exciting over the last few days. The 2011 Tokyo Game Show started with a bang and a lot of new information about Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance was released! But where to begin?
First, a new trailer was released showing Sora and Riku both in new outfits, preparing to undertake their Mark of Mastery exam. Sora was seen in Traverse Town wondering around calling out for Riku, but instead he finds none other than Neku Sakuraba from The World Ends With You. Neku appears to be taking part in the Reapers' game and need a partner to play with.
Riku was seen in the confirmed world based off The Hunchback of Notre Dame; La Cité des Cloches, where he meets Quasimodo and Esmeralda. The trailer ended with the return of Braig asking Master Xehanort if his memory has returned.
The new enemy for Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance called the "Dream Eaters" were introduced. The Dream Eaters are divided into two types: "ones that eat dreams and plant nightmares" and "ones that eat nightmares". They play a major part in the "world buried in sleep". Multiple Dream Eaters were shown in both the trailer and demo. Two confirmed Dream Eaters were the Wonder Meow and Bat Bat and a gorilla, gargoyle, panda, barracuda, and ram were also shown.
Hopefully more information on Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance will be revealed in the following months, until the game itself is finally released.

Ready? START! (September 2nd)Edit
With only two more weeks to the Tokyo Game Show, Square Enix has launch the Kingdom Hearts 3D webpage for this year's Tokyo Game Show!
Though the site currently doesn't show anything fancy, three mysterious messages are shown on the page:
- "Darkness becomes Light, Light falls into Darkness."
- "A title for Nintendo 3DS in the Kingdom Hearts series!"
- "The videogame on the show floor will be the world's first experience, please come visit us!"
What could this mean? Who know, as the Tokyo Game Show comes closer, more details will most likely appear, as well as the confirm new trailer and playable demo that will appear.

A well defined Dream (August 9th)Edit
It’s been a good while since we’ve had solid Kingdom Hearts news, and with the Tokyo Game Show creeping up mighty soon, a steady stream of news is to be expected.
To begin with, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance has been confirmed to make a playable debut at this year’s annual Tokyo Game Show. Better news yet, is that the development process has been quite spirited as of late – Nomura expects the game to arrive on Japan’s store shelves at the start of 2012!
The news doesn’t end just there. As previously requested by fans, and subtly hinted by Nomura himself on occasions, an HD Collection of previous Kingdom Hearts titles is under strong consideration. So strong, in fact, that Nomura outright plans to do an “HD Test” sometime before the series’ 10th Anniversary – citing the current canonical mark of the games to be a difficult entry point for newbies (and the plot continues to get more and more complicated…). The date, system, and which games will be a part of the collection have not been specified – the project itself hasn’t even been green lighted, but there’s no need to hold one’s breath – the project will doubtlessly, eventually come up.
Musical Mystery (July 31st)Edit
In this month's issue of Nintendo Power, video game composer and the Kingdom Hearts series very own composer; Yoko Shimomura was interviewed, where she talked about what it's like writing music for the Kingdom Hearts series and other video games.
In the interview, she was asked about how it felt when she was approached to work on the Kingdom Hearts series. She stated that she was shocked by the idea, because she didn't have that much "self-confidence", but she tried her best to create the score with the image of Disney's worlds in her mind.
When questioned about how she came up with the iconic Dearly Beloved, she replied that the tune was originally written for a certain event in the game, but eventually, the tune was cut from the game. When she was asked to compose something for the title music, she proposed Dearly Beloved, and the next thing you know, this tune was chosen to be the title music!.
Dream....Drop....Versus? (July 16th)Edit
In this month's issue of Famitsu, series dictator and creator Tetsuya Nomura was interviewed and released some new information about Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, as well as Final Fantasy Versus XIII. In the interview, Nomura stated that Final Fantasy Versus XIII has begun preparation to enter into full production, which comes as exciting news to one of our users.
But enough about that, let move on into some Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance news; in the interview, Nomura stated that development of the game is 40-50% finished, with voice recording to begin soon. Nomura also said that the game will have a secret movie like previous games in the series. A new playable demo is said to be available at the 2011 Tokyo Game Show later this year, where it will featured two new "enigmatic" characters along with a new enemy aside from the Heartless, Nobodies, and Unversed seen in previous games.
