The Shark is a character who can be found exclusively as a boss in Kingdom Hearts.

Physical Appearance[]

The Shark is a rotund, yellow-eyed great white shark. The top half of his body is navy blue, while the underside is a light blue color. He has three gill slits on either side of his body and a small nick in his tail fin.

The Shark only has one dorsal fin, without the second, smaller dorsal fin further down his body like most sharks. While his teeth are the typical triangular shape of a great white, they seem to lack serrations and, most notably, there is only one row of teeth in his mouth, as opposed to the multiple, rotating rows of teeth common to all sharks.

History[]

Kingdom Hearts[]

The Shark is normally found swimming around the Sunken Ship area. He is considered an enemy at first, as the player can escape fighting him, but he has to be defeated later to enter Ursula's lair. He attacks randomly, and can do a great deal of damage. After Ursula is defeated, the shark no longer stalks the sunken ship, leaving it to be infested by the Heartless.

Strategy[]

Glut does not have a wide variety of attacks, as they all consist of lunging at and biting it's opponent, however the damage Glut causes makes up for it. Aero is very useful while fighting Glut, because Aero will deflect most of Glut's attacks and prevent damage. Magic does not have much effect on Glut so use melee attacks to damage it.

Occasionally in the fight, while taking damage, Glut will be stunned for a short amount of time which is a great opportunity to unleash combos on it. Glut is a slow swimmer, so if too much damage is taken, it is very easy to get out of harms way and cast Cure.
