Black Ballade (ブラックバラード, Burakkubarādo^?) is a Heartless from the game Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix

The Black Ballade is a member of a strange family of Emblem Heartless. Almost every Heartless in the family have names referring to their color and a form of music. A ballade is a one-movement musical piece with lyrical and dramatic narrative qualities.

When battling a Black Ballade, Sora had to watch it split into five. From those, Sora had to find the one who jumped, indicating that it was the real one. Attacking otherwise would've led to an unavoidable shock.

• The fighting style of Black Ballade was brought back in Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix+, this time, for Organization XIII Mushroom, #10. The mushroom splits into five, and rearranges itself. Sora has to hit the right one. If he hits the wrong one, the mushroom will shoot him with a sniper-like energy ball.
• This Heartless is the only one of its' family that has no yellow hat.
• The dagger-like design on its hat may be related to the daggers wielded by Larxene, who also uses Thunder-based attacks.
